Ages 16 & up
Step into the liquid world of beeswax, resin and dry pigment to learn the ancient technique of encaustic painting. Students are introduced to a bit of history, the tools of encaustic painting, safety and a variety of techniques such as image transfers, collage, pigment sticks and much more!

Make a Holiday Ornament – call 503-487-6883 to register today!
Ages 7 & up / 9:00 – 10:30 a.m. $7 each ornament
Come have fun and paint a wood ornament for the holiday season.
Each child will create their own ornament using acrylic paints, stamps and markers. Make one or as many as you like in this one-day workshop special for the holidays.

One of a Kind Encaustic Ornament – ages 18 & up call 503.487.6883 to register today!
11:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m., $10 per ornament
Learn how to paint with encaustic (hot wax) & do an image transfer into the wax. You will be given a block of wood and choices of 3 holiday designs to create a one-of-a-kind ornament with creative flair.

Beginner Encaustic Class- Oct 19

I will be teaching a beginner encaustic class starting next Tuesday, Oct 19, at 6:30pm in Newberg, please come join in the fun. The class will be every Tuesday night until November 16. It is just a short drive down from Tigard/Tualatin.

Encaustic is an ancient technique of building up layers of pigmented wax as well as incorporating collage and found objects to create beautiful 2D works on wood. Participants will be able to explore individual styles, make their own encaustic paint and learn the technique to create a ‘hot wax’ painting.
